Evidence of Wahba-el-Damietta (Egyptian)

No. 9 Red Blind Street   (Through Interpreter)

        I live in the 2nd Floor of No. 9 Red Blind Street.

At about 7.30 on the night of 31.7.15, I was standing on the landing and saw 4 soldiers enter the apartments of the woman Schultz. I saw they were carrying a bottle of whiskey. As I was standing on the landing, I could see practically right through into the other houses below. I then saw the soldiers sitting down with this woman and then later saw a row, and heard the woman swearing at them. The soldiers blew their whistles for assistance and 8 to 10 soldiers broke the door and came up to their assistance. I then noticed all the soldiers began throwing furniture on to the street.

Not long afterwards, soldiers came in and carried me away to a place of safety (evidently the picquet). There was one house between my rooms and the fire.
